I did not know I had this image, but I think I like it. I was scrolling through images from the Fall of 2009 and stumbled on this one. This is actually less than 5 miles from our house and I fly by this everyday but I am normally up a bit higher. This is the South Fork of the Matanuska River. Fall in Alaska is so beautiful it is really indescribable, you have to see it to believe it. Unfortunately the peak of the season usually lasts less than a week, and then the wind takes the color away. I can’t believe that we are already into the second week of March. It will be Fall again before we know it.
