Photo of the Day — “The Ground”

This is the Kashwitna drainage in the Talkeetna Mountains. I just love the perspective this picture offers. In fact, I have started a folder of images entitled “the ground”. I know that is not exactly a riveting designator, but anytime there is no horizon available it really changes the “feel” of the picture. I don’t know why this is, but it’s something I’ve noticed while looking at my images. I hope to turn my, “the ground”, folder into a chapter in a photo book I will publish someday. I had hoped to publish my photo book this Spring, but after much research I have decided that it is too expensive for me to take-on at this time. So, I will continue to compile a library of scenic aviation images until the time that I can afford to publish.

After spending the weekend with the “web-dudes”, we have decided on some changes that I am really excited about. We hope to release the new version of BlueIceAviation.com sometime next week, but there are many obstacles to schlep through first.

I am home now after a long drive from Juneau, I apologize for the lack of photos lately … life is hard without internet. :o)
