See that black thing poking through … ya’ that’s granite. I don’t fly in the clouds. I should say I don’t fly my Super Cub in the clouds. I only have about 60 hours of flying IMC. I used to fly for Pen Air in Western Alaska, and I also flew in Hawaii, but on both occasions I was flying bigger aircraft. I don’t mind flying blind, if I am in an aircraft that deserves to be there, but I don’t think a Super Cub has any business sharing the clouds with granite. If this was Kansas or Wisconsin I would consider it, but in Alaska … life is short enough. I was headed home late one evening and I cut across the Chugach at 10,000′ to get this picture.
