Photo of the Day — Ice Cream Cone (aka) Sky Buster (8675′)

I took this about an hour ago as I was descending out of 8000′ headed for home. Ice Cream Cone is a predominant peak near Carpenter Creek, The Metal Glacier, and Friday Creek. It has only been climbed a handful of times and is an impressive peak from all angles. I always enjoy flying by, especially on an evening like this. I flew 7 hours today, but I did not start until 1 PM because of weather. It was one of those days where it was gloomy and grey on the ground but gloriously sunny once you were above 7000′. I moved 5 people to and from various glaciers in the Talkeetna and Chugach Mountains and I am pleased to announce that I did finally find some good snow in the Talkeetna mountains for skiing.
