Remember back in January when I mentioned that I was in Bend, Oregon working with my web-genius buddies? During that long weekend we got more done than we ever imagined because Mt. Bachelor was raining and blowing 60 mph. Our intention was to ski hard by day, and work by night, but the reality ended us with lots of time to brainstorm and do “techy stuff”. With the Blue Ice Aviation machine working overtime the boys at Side Project Co. were able to do a complete re-launch of the entire web-site including the addition of the “Blue Ice Aviation Community”!. I won’t go into the nitty gritty details of all that was involved in this re-vamp. Simply understand that the 5x faster loading site and extensive visual tweaks, are a result of much time and expertise on the part of the web-geniuses at Side Project Co.
The addition of the “Blue Ice Aviation Community” allows you as a viewer to enjoy “show and tell” with your photos, stories, questions, and comments. The Blue Ice Aviation Community is email based, but displays as an interactive page on the Blue Ice Aviation web site. To get started simply visit the community by clicking here and reading the instructions under the button “How To Post to the Community”. There is no mandatory username or password, but since the community is an email based platform a valid email address is necessary to participate. I will be giving away a Blue Ice Aviation hoody, mug, and t-shirt to three randomly selected participants in the community on February 27th. Please stop-in and introduce yourself for a chance to win.
Another new addition to the Blue Ice Aviation web site is the “Hangar Page”. The Hangar is the easiest way to access everything Blue Ice. Whether you want to visit the community, purchase a photo, or check Anchorage’s weather, this is the place to do it. We also implemented a “how to” section of the web-site which will be expanding in the months to come. The first article posted on the “how to” page explains the steps necessary to become a pilot. Cruise around the site, and enjoy the newer/better BlueIceAviation.com!
We have lift off … climb baby climb!
