Photos of the Day — My Super Cub Left Tracks in the Sky

So, I am flying along this morning enjoying the weather when I begin to realize that moisture is becoming visible all around me. These were not the scary clouds with ragged hanging tentacles that threaten to close in around me, but long flat sheets of moisture that were easily visible and avoided. I had never seen a formation like this and they were perfectly smooth and relatively unchanging. I was in a big hurry to keep moving because I had several more trips to make, but the conditions were tempting me to stop and play. I tried to ignore them but eventually caved to the pressure, and spent the next 20 minutes surfing along the face of a thin white blanket of visible moisture. I knew the prop wash from the engine and the vortices off my wings would leave an imprint so I went back for a picture of my track through the sky. The big planes leave a trail behind them, but us little guys seldom get this opportunity. At no time was my forward visibility reduced to less than VFR minimums.
