Alaska is awesome, but, it is ridiculously awesome during the Summer months. It has been daylight for so long that I have not seen the moon or stars in several months. The flowers are currently in full bloom in the high alpine and the summer of 2013 has been warm, dry and even occasionally HOT! We had been working way too much … so our little family escaped for 3 nights last week. We started out camping on a mountain strip with the Super Cub, and ended up on the coast in the Cessna 185. We had a really great time, the kids enjoyed it immensely, and mom and dad remembered why we love Alaska so much.
