Is it any wonder that Alaska is referred to as, “the Last Frontier”. Look at that ! I took this picture en-route between Sheep Mt. and Palmer. We live at Sheep Mt. May through September each year because Sheep Mt. is more remote, and provides better access to areas desired by outdoor enthusiasts. We probably do 80% of our flying out of Sheep Mt. and 20% out of Palmer. I enjoy the flight back and forth between the two communities and end up doing it a couple times a week. Samantha and I will fly into town to pick up groceries, run errands, and see friends. The drive to Sheep Mt. is great, but the flight is even better. It takes me about 45 minutes to fly one-way, and it is a gorgeous trip. If you are in Anchorage and you think that the drive to Sheep Mt. might be too far (2 hours) then give us a call. We may be in town, and we could do the flight right out of Palmer.
