Have I mentioned that we have some awesome hiking in our backyard? This is a 15 minute flight from our house. You can actually see the planes in the 2nd picture parked in the grassy meadow. Samantha and I, and some of our close friends went on a short hike to this turquoise lake. Of course, it would not be considered a “short hike” if it were not for the Super Cub. It would probably take you 4-5 days to hike into this lake from the road system. Caribou, sheep, moose, bear, and wolverine are common sightings for this area. Samantha and I have flown in here to camp because it is so beautiful and user friendly. Anybody that wants to see Alaska for what it really is should consider one of our hiking trips.
