Experimental 16Bravo threw an invite out on facebook for a May 2nd fly-in at the Picnic Strip up the Knik. It was a good time. We enjoyed a short hike, a stiff breeze, and a bunch of bull-shootin of course. I really should have spent more time taking pictures of all these tail draggers stacked up, but I was too busy running my mouth to play wanna-be photographer. This past Saturday and Sunday was the Airmen’s Expo in Anchorage, and this coming weekend is the Valdez STOL competition. So we are in the middle of a big aviation week in Alaska. It’s nice to be easing back into the Alaskan summer with some aviation gatherings.
16Bravo landing at the Picnic Strip.
The man himself … late to his own fly-in.
My daughter strutting her stuff. She only had one glove because her sister was using the other one.
A small portion of the line up.
It’s hard to take a bad picture in Alaska. So I just keep clicking the shutter.
Playing at the lake.
Family picture. Notice the shared gloves. Good problem solving.
We had to leave early, but it was a good turnout. Good job 16bravo, good idea, thank you.
