We landed here to go on a bit of a walk-a-bout. Never have I seen such an incredible stretch of weather this late in the season. It’s not so amazing that it’s sunny, but the warmth is just wrong. It barely even frosts in the mornings, and when I climb to altitude it is still 40 plus degrees. I love it, Mike and I have been flying our brains out, and it’s great.
It felt really good to get out of the plane for an hour or so and stretch our legs with friends. We have been talking about going up here and hiking around all summer, but life has gotten in the way until now. This is a fantastic location and the lake is spectacularly blue. The fresh snow in the background is an indication that this weather will NOT last.
