Have you ever had the logic board on your Mac relinquish it’s life? It’s pretty awesome, you should try it sometime. It only costs about $800 and three weeks of down-time. I was recently given this opportunity to exersize my wallet and my patience. I am probably a stronger person now because of it, but I would have rather stayed weak.
It’s been a busy few weeks as we are well into the Dall Sheep and Caribou hunting season. We’ve pulled out some nice game, and have nearly another month to look forward to. The weather has been managable, but certainly not good. We’ve been able to get airborne everyday so I really can’t complain. The leaves are beginning to turn colors, fresh snow is visible on the mountains, the velvet is falling off the antlers, the Talkeetna mountains have gone from green to brown, the fireweed has reached the top of it’s stalk, and it’s dark by 10PM …. we are hosed. The most beautiful time of year is just around the corner and I am excited to see it, but the white season is hot on it’s heals.
The photo above was taken in the Alaska Range earlier this summer near ….. ummm, dangit, I forgot the name of the mountain. Anyways, it was vertical granite and very cool to fly around. I wish I could have had you all in the back of my Cub, it was totally awesome.
I apologize for the long absense on the blog, talk to Steve Jobs.
