After a nasty Spring day like today it’s nice to remember that green grass and warmer temperatures will return someday. I woke up to several new inches of snow, the wind blew 55 knots, and the ceiling was only 500′ overcast. It is still ugly outside but things are supposed to improve over the next several days.
This is the only time I’ve ever landed in this location. I took this picture of our Super Cubs in the Talkeetna Mountains. It would be a great spot to go on multiple day hikes, and I plan to return. The elevation is 5500′ and the winds are not often favorable for landing. Seeing this picture makes me want to go hiking.
