I thought it was awesome the way the clouds were leaving such defined footprints on the ground below. I was headed for the Alaska Range, so I was up high (6000′ MSL) cruising West and looking for a tailwind. I saw the shadows on the ground and thought it was neat looking. The Talkeetna Mts are on my far right and in the distance on the left you can see the foot-hills of the Alaska Range. The flatland below me is the Susitna Valley. There are hundreds of cabins in this area owned by local Alaskans. The fishing is generally good and there is a fair amount of game as well. I much prefer the mountains, but each area in Alaska has it’s perks.
