The Talkeetna Mountains are an endless playground for anybody who enjoys high alpine landscapes. I took the picture somewhere in the Talkeetnas behind my house. I am not even sure if anybody has ever walked down through this random little valley. These areas are difficult to access unless you have a helicopter or a Super Cub. 9 months out of the year this is a desolate, cold, white landscape … but for 3 short months this area comes to life, and it will take your breath away.
