Sometimes when we are working in the mountains it’s necessary to get right up tight against the rocks in order to accomplish the goal. I think it’s a lot scarier for the passenger than for the pilot because I know how long my wings are but the poor sucker in the back is just along for the ride. We have airstrips that require a tight turn in close proximity to the ground in order to successfully accomplish the task. Do you worry about the mirrors on your car smacking oncoming traffic as you drive down the road? Why not? They are within 4 feet of a 100 Mile per hour collision. It’s the same for me, I know where the rocks are at and I know where my wing tips are at, so I don’t really think about it … It just looks real bad.
Oh ya’, remember the post from a couple of weeks ago when I showed the picture of the RC cub with the HUGE 6″ Bushweels … well it actually got airborne and here’s the proof. Nice work Rion!
