It’s been a slow Spring for flying. I think this is because the poor snow conditions in the mountains this year has kept most of the snow seekers at home. I found some great Spring skiing but it was not as wide spread as other years. We only moved a fraction of the skiers that we normally do but there is always next year…..I even plan to take my wheel skis off this week which I am pretty excited about.
I got more than 6 hours of flying in today and the conditions were really nice. There is a low pressure trough lying over top of us right now so the weather is quick to change, but we did not encounter adverse conditions until we tried to get into the Talkeetnas. We do have a group of mountaineers waiting up on the glacier for groceries and I am hoping the weather holds till morning.
