This was taken last Spring, I am just getting “revved up” for the ideal Super Cub ski season.
When I dropped this group off I told them that they were going to get hammered with weather, and that they should go somewhere else if they wanted a timely pick-up because this area is known for it’s EXTREMELY adverse conditions. They decided to just go for it, and brought lots of extra food and fuel. They pretty much never saw a cloud and got totally sun-burnt. The moral of the story is, don’t make your plans based on weather reports or fear, just make a plan and do it. And yep, sometimes you’re gonna get lucky, and other times you’re gonna get spanked … welcome to Alaska.
