Photo of the Day — 10,000′ Ice Shelf

On February 13th I posted a story about airdropping supplies to a mountaineering course on a shelf at 10,000′ MSL.  I stumbled across this photo today, and it shows the area I spoke of well.  You can see why I was not too excited about motoring around up there in the flat light and the wind.  Just over that highest peak it begins descending down into Prince William Sound.  These are the tops of the mountains that protect us from the costal weather that keeps other air-taxis grounded.
