Photos Taken This Afternoon

The weather was foul this morning, but improved gradually as the day burnt on. I was airborne by 1530 after spending the day waiting on weather and spiffing up the Cub for our annual inspection by the DOI, so we can continue to fly for them.

My first stop was in the Talkeetna Mountains to pick up a friend at the end of his sheep hunt. You can see the white stuff that fell yesterday, polluting the warm thoughts of summer.

On the way home we saw an incredible rainbow!

Then Nick offered to get a family photo in front of the Cub before I launched for the next flight. You can barely see that Samantha and I are expecting the new “Keller Kid” in October.

There was lots of clouds, but I got this photo on my way to Friday Creek while climbing to clear a small pass.

The Matanuska River and the scenic town of Palmer.
