He was a true famaly man I rember going for rides with him in the car he would put me on his lap and let me drive we would come in to a dip in the road and he would say ty ra ra bumptya and I would just laugh waiting for the next one.I was his favorit nephue god I miss him thank you so very much. Your photos and stories provide value to your readers. Flying is dangerous enough, mountain flying much more so. Your insights teach people how to do it right. Keep it up.

I have spent the majority of my life in the shadows of Mt. Rainer, or on it. It has quite an aviation history of its’ own. I have been present for three incidents, but by far the most noteworthy occurred in 1946 when a Curtis Commando R5C transport plane crashed into the South Tahoma Glacier during bad weather.
