Matt,
Your photos and stories provide value to your readers. Flying is dangerous enough, mountain flying much more so. Your insights teach people how to do it right. Keep it up.

I have spent the majority of my life in the shadows of Mt. Rainer, or on it. It has quite an aviation history of its' own. I have been present for three incidents, but by far the most noteworthy occurred in 1946 when a Curtis Commando R5C transport plane crashed into the South Tahoma Glacier during bad weather. All 30+ occupants died with none recovered. The full story can be read at www.HistoryLink.org, Essay 7820.

Fred Thompson
